1. Raleigh, North Carolina

Raleigh is one of the most diverse cities in North Carolina. It is a wonderful place for families to settle down, including Black families. Raleigh has a strong job market, excellent school systems, and a low unemployment rate. There are many cultural attractions that will inspire and encourage diversity to continue in the city, such as the African American Cultural Complex (AACC).

2. Atlanta, Georgia

Thousands of Black individuals and families have migrated to Atlanta, Georgia in recent years. So much so that the area is now known as “Black Mecca.” Atlanta has a lot of rich Black history, including employment, education, and civil rights. There are more opportunities than ever for education, employment, and social opportunities in Atlanta.

3. Lansing, Michigan

Lansing is considered by many to be one of the best places for Black families to grow and thrive. Lansing has a community that embraces diversity. It is a smaller city than Atlanta or Raleigh, but it hosts some of the best schools in the area and a wide variety of cultural and entertainment activities. The city has one of the lowest unemployment rates it has ever had, with new jobs being consistently created.

4. San Diego, California

Black families that want a taste of the West Coast can look to San Diego for a great place to live, work, and play. San Diego is one of the best cities in California for Black families.
